Hi everyone! We are Sonika and Shilpa Shankar, and we’re so happy you’re considering joining our Powerosis pride. Neither one of us was very athletic growing up (and by that, we mean we were not athletic whatsoever 😂). We both began incorporating fitness into our daily lives around 2013. We solely performed cardio routines for about a year, until we discovered the world of strength training. After that, there was no going back. We felt so at home among the weights and saw our bodies respond to balanced training in ways we never thought were possible. Now, we want to help you discover a new world that may ignite a passion in you!
We are just like you. We were beginners not too long ago, in a new environment not knowing where to start. And currently, as full-time professionals working in the health space, as well as personal trainers, we understand the need for balance. The idea behind Powerosis is to emPOWER all of you, and to help you build upon the strength we know you already possess. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to help each and every one of you reach your goals!

IN PERSON TRAINING
In-person training is available in Northern New Jersey! Together, we can build a custom in-person training package based on your goals, schedule, and lifestyle.

For the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve been more and more into fitness. However, I’ve always had an issue with "gymtimidation". I always felt lost and unsure when I entered a gym by myself. I used to take one look at the weights and the people who dominated the area, and ran to the treadmill. Unfortunately, this is where I saw a plateau in my body. With a set plan, it was easier to feel confident in the weight section and eventually feel at home there. At the end of the four week plan, I saw muscles and definition that I had never seen before! I would definitely recommend their plan to anyone who wants to see results and who is looking for a fantastic set of trainers!

Being a single mom to a toddler, I was struggling to find time to go to the gym. That's why the Powerosis At-Home Plan was perfect for me. This program has helped me lose inches as well as made me stronger. I started off using 5lbs/10lbs dumbbells with light resistance bands and now I can use 15lbs and heavy resistance for almost all workouts! Shilpa and Sonika are available 24/7 for advice, whether it’s for healthier meal choices or for modifications on a workout. 10/10 would recommend Powerosis!
